Guitar TAB set for both the lead and backing parts of ZAZEN BOYS’ “RIFF MAN.”
The phrases have been transcribed faithfully to the original song, and for both parts—including phrasing positions, chord shapes, fingerings, and the division of phrases between parts—
we have reproduced the band’s performance as faithfully as possible based on the available video footage.
Additionally, due to the nature of the song, there are no section changes from the middle of the track onward, making it easy to lose track of the progression.
Therefore, I’ve marked natural breaks as checkpoints and included the song’s elapsed time to help you follow the progression more easily.
As a bonus, I’ve also included the “Immigrant Song” section performed between verses.
(The “Immigrant Song” section in the sheet music)
Please note that regarding the BPM notation, the tempo changes from section to section and even fluctuates within sections, becoming faster or slower;
therefore, we ask that you treat these figures as a general guide only.
The sheet music is structured as follows:
First 9 pages: Lead part (Satoshi Yoshikane’s part)
Second 9 pages: Backing part (Hidenori Mukai’s part)
