“Funeral” Sheet Music
🎹 Notice that there are two files attached: a duet for performance accompanied by a piano and solo piano with no significant technical difficulties. Original lyrics and harmony chords are included in the sheet music.

🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key F Major.
🔠 There are three different harmonic loops of four bars each:
- Dₘ B♭ F C — verses
- Gₘ B♭ — pre-choruses
- F B♭ C B♭ — choruses and climax
The cyclical chord change (loop) creates backdrop against the intense melody.
The progression is cadential uses ellipsis (omitting of some chords).
Sync your pedaling to the harmony: hold the sustain pedal for the chord duration.
🥁 “Funeral” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time. Accent strong beats. I put the accent marks for the singer when stressed notes are on the upbeat.
🎤 The vocal delivery is a little too instense.
🎶 The melody is build to surprise with expressive pauses. Some triplets were used to make the melody more insteresting.
🌉 The song has bridge that exhibits new material; this section acts as the song’s memorable high point.
